Lumi Garden is easy to start and hard to put down. You merge seeds into flowers, fill little orders for animal visitors, and spend the gold leaves you earn to light up a moonlit greenhouse. This guide covers how everything fits together and the habits that make your board, dew and time go further.

## The core loop in one minute

1. **Tap a generator** (the seed jar first) to place a level 1 item on the board. Each tap uses one drop of dew.
2. **Drag two identical items together** to merge them into the next level. Merges always take exactly two matching items.
3. **Deliver orders.** When every item an animal asks for is on the board at the same time, tap Deliver. Orders pay gold leaves, starlight and a little dew.
4. **Light the greenhouse.** Spend gold leaves on the six greenhouse areas. Lighting all the areas of a chapter brings a festival order; deliver it to open the next chapter.
5. **Feed Yingying.** Spare flowers become starlight, and starlight helps the light sprite grow.

## The four merge chains

Each chain has its own generator, unlocked as you progress:

- **Flowers** from the seed jar: seed, sprout, bud, little flower, full bloom, bouquet, flower crown and finally the star flower (8 levels).
- **Fruit** from the little fruit tree, which appears after your first few deliveries (6 levels).
- **Tea** from the tea tin, unlocked in chapter 2 (5 levels).
- **Lights** from the firefly jar, unlocked in chapter 3 (4 levels).

The first time you make a new item you also earn bonus gold leaves, so it pays to explore every chain.

## Dew: the only thing that runs out

Every generator tap costs one dew. You start with 100, and dew refills by one drop every two minutes, **including while the game is closed**. Orders return a few drops each, the daily gift sometimes gives a big handful, and petting Yingying in the greenhouse gives one drop a few times a day.

If you run dry, that's a good moment to deliver what you can, feed Yingying, or simply come back later. Nothing is lost while you wait.

## Board space is your real resource

The board starts small and grows with each chapter. A cluttered board is what slows most players down, so keep it tidy:

- **Merge as you go.** Two matching items sitting apart are wasted space.
- **Clear vines.** From chapter 2, new cells arrive covered in vines. Merging right next to a vine cell clears a layer, and an uncovered cell sometimes drops a free item.
- **Use storage.** Six storage slots each hold any number of one item type. Park items you'll need later, but remember that **stored items don't count for orders**: take them back out before you deliver.
- **Sell what you'll never use.** Selling gives a few leaves, but delivering an item in an order is worth far more, so sell only true leftovers.
- **Move the generators.** New items appear in the empty cell nearest the generator, so you can drag a generator to a quieter corner.

## Orders: what to make next

- Up to three regular orders are open at once, each from a different animal.
- Bigger and higher-level requests pay more. The game also keeps order sizes reasonable for the free space on your board.
- **Moon-night orders** (from chapter 3) have a countdown and double rewards. If one expires, it just disappears and a new order takes its place. There is no penalty, so treat them as a bonus, not a chore.
- **Flowers are always useful.** Every festival order asks for a high flower, Yingying only eats flowers, and flower pots grow flowers.

## Raising Yingying

Yingying only eats flowers, and higher flowers give much more starlight: each level doubles it. The greenhouse panel's Feed button automatically picks your highest flower that no open order needs, which is usually the right choice.

As starlight builds up, Yingying grows through five forms, each with a gentle perk:

1. **Light speck**: where everyone starts.
2. **Little sprite**: generators sometimes produce a level 2 item instead of level 1.
3. **Flower sprite**: leaves a small gift on the board every 30 minutes.
4. **Moon sprite**: raises your dew limit from 100 to 120.
5. **Star sprite**: orders pay 10% more gold leaves.

## Flower pots

Once the tutorial is over, the greenhouse gets flower pots: one per chapter, up to three. Plant a bud and come back later; pots keep growing while you're away and return a full bloom or even a bouquet. **Plant before you leave** and you'll return to free progress.

## Daily extras, no pressure

Each day you can open one daily gift card and work on three small goals (merge, deliver, feed). There are no streaks. Missing a day costs you nothing, which suits a game meant for slow evenings.

## Quick tips

- Merge pairs as soon as you see them; the game highlights a matching pair if you pause for a while.
- Plant pots and top up storage before closing the game.
- Focus your gold leaves on the next greenhouse area; that is what moves the story forward.
- Use the save code in Settings to move your garden to another device.

## Play it now

Lumi Garden is free and runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no download or sign-up. There is no fail state and nothing to lose, just a greenhouse that gets a little brighter every time you play.

## FAQ

**How fast does dew refill?**

One drop every two minutes up to your limit, including while the game is closed.

**Do stored items count for orders?**

No. Take items out of storage and onto the board before you tap Deliver.

**How do I unlock the next chapter?**

Light every greenhouse area of the current chapter with gold leaves; a festival order appears, and delivering it opens the next chapter.

**What does Yingying eat?**

Only flowers. Higher-level flowers give much more starlight.
